Group Counseling for Deeper Connections

Get the right support in a safe, nurturing environment with others to help guide the way.

Groups can be an amazing way to achieve emotional healing. The group process can address needs in a non-threatening, empathetic way. Individuals in groups say they benefit from the connection with group members through relating to others' stories and from interacting in the group environment.

As an added benefit, group therapy can be quicker and more cost-effective. Group participation requires a preliminary screening interview to determine whether you would benefit from a particular group. You may also be referred by an outside therapist to one of our groups.

Adult Group Therapy

  • Women's Grounding & Self-Care

One thing that is universal for all women is that we are in a constant state of growth and transition, and this can be stressful! Our Women's Group is a safe place to share and process your thoughts, feelings, and struggles in whatever phase of life you find yourself.

Our Women's Group is facilitated by Laura Slagle and Cheryl Hixson.

  • The Mindful Mama Group

This therapy group for pregnant and postpartum women will help you find that moment-to-moment, non-judgment, peaceful awareness for yourself and your baby.

The Mindful Mama Therapy Group is facilitated by Cheryl Hixson, who is certified by Postpartum Support International (PSI) to diagnoses and treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

  • Grief & Loss Group

There are many different types of losses that can cause grief in one's life.

No loss is too great to overcome or too small to cause grief. We believe that you never "get over" your losses, but you can find healing by honoring those losses and your feelings around them.

If you are ready to experience that healing, please contact us today. Join us as we process our grief together.

  • Complex PTSD Group

Most people are familiar with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). But have you heard of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD)? CPTSD results from repeated trauma over months or years, rather than a single event.

If you or someone you are close to have experienced long-term, repetitive physical, emotional, or sexual abuse or neglect; let us help you find your voice and your confidence in a safe setting with peers who understand and a therapist to guide you through the process.

Adult Groups are facilitated by one or two of our therapists as co-facilitators.

You must have a referral from your individual therapist. If you don't have a therapist, you may request a screening interview by one of our therapists.

Children/Teens Group Therapy

  • Teen Social Anxiety Group

Social Anxiety affects more than 15 million Americans and may be associated with loneliness, low self-esteem, poor school attendance/performance, and difficulty establishing and maintaining friendships.

Let us help you find your voice and your confidence in a safe setting with peers who understand and a therapist to guide you .

  • Kimochis Camp

This fun, experiential group is for children ages 6-12. In this 6 to 8-week group, we explore feelings in depth, using the Kimochis characters and curriculum.

  • Inside Out Experience

This experiential group offers an opportunity to explore your thoughts, values, core beliefs, and feelings from the inside out. Separate groups are available for children and teens.

Child and Teen Groups are facilitated by one or two of our therapists.

Referral by your therapist or an assessment by our office is required to assure that the group is a good fit for you.
