As an associates social worker, Preet specializes in helping clients cope with issues like depression and anxiety, relationships, stress, grief, marital discord, and trauma as well as a further focus on how clients are impacted by their psychosocial status.

Along with her Masters in Social Work from CSU Fresno, she has over ten years of experience working in various fields of social work, including direct practice working with the foster care and adoptive youth population. She also has over two years of experience as a medical social worker providing patients/families with support and counseling in relation to dealing with postpartum depression, grief, terminal illness, and diagnoses.

Her approach to therapy comes from an integrative and holistic perspective that tailors each client’s treatment to their needs. Preet views the client’s relationship with their environment as essential to treatment planning.

Having the ability to work with a diverse population and demonstrate cultural competency and promote empowerment, she wants to see her clients successfully complete therapy with awareness, confidence, and the courage of self-advocacy as well as be able to continue using coping skills regularly in their daily functioning.

With the ability to improve or transform people’s lives, Preet believes it is important to be culturally competent and sensitive, compassionate, and empathetic. As a therapist, her ultimate goal is to be able to connect with her clients, give them advice, and help them articulate their feelings.

When asked what she hopes clients will gain from their work with her, Preet provided a quote from Rupi Kaur that says, “Despite knowing they won’t be here for long, they still choose to live their brightest lives.”
